In addition, Nordic skiers are offered many kilometers of trails groomed for both classic and skating techniques and unlimited back country skiing. Snowmobiling, sleighrides, ice skating, dog sled rides, sledding and snowshoeing are other activities available to round out your winter vacation.
In summer, when the mountains bloom with color, Crested Butte takes on its role as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado. Hiking and mountain biking are available in an endless variety in the surrounding area. Other activities include fishing, horseback riding, jeep tours, golf, theatre, festivals, hot air balloon rides, chairlift rides and river rafting. As fall approaches, the aspen leaves change and the mountains turn golden heralding the approach of another winter.
